Don’t ever ever ever go see The Watcher. You know how some movies are so bad you can go see them for humor value or just because? Well this isn’t. It’s just plain terrible in every way. We also saw Along Came a Spider which was pretty good I guess. It is kind of unbelievable, not in a science fiction sort of way, but in every movie, you have an expected level of twists, turns and general suspension of disbelief, the sequence of events in this movie sort of goes beyond that in what the characters would actually do. It’s a nice surprise, but still leaves a “huh?” response to me. That and Monica Potter looks a hell of a lot like Julia Roberts.

Ben and Lydia finally got engaged, I guess it happened at a U2 concert when he just suddenly decided that it was time that get married. They’d been talking about it for a while. They are talking about a Oct. 2002 wedding, so they’ll have plenty of time to plan.

oh my god the Mariners are insane. 20-5 in April for the best start ever. Former Japanese batting champion Ichiro Suzuki is having a great year as is closer Kazuhiro Sasaki with a record 13 saves in april. Japanese fans are ecstatic and they watch Suzuki’s every move. The Mariners are doing this all after trading away Randy Johnson, Ken Griffey Jr. and Alex Rodriguez.

ok. This is amusing. The porn star or My Little Pony Quiz. Be warned that it is hard. An unscientific survey says that most people get less than 1/2 right. Also as expected, I got reamed by the tax man. Every year while doing my taxes the irony of the Paperwork Reduction Act strikes me. Before you just had a lot of forms to fill out. When the act was passed, the idea was to reduce unnecessary paperwork. It required that tax forms have an explanation as to how and why it needs to be filled out. This of course ballooned the size and complexity of tax forms, in a beauracratic maze that only the US government could concoct.

In other news, I hate writing documentation.

Blech. I hate taxes. There is a whole lot to be said for some sort of tax simplification. Everything looked pretty decent until I realized that I hadn’t put in Tracy’s W2. Then when I did put it in, it sucked badly. In an uncharacteristic move for me, I signed up to be the engineering rep for Blue Martini’s community service program. Must be the guilt of my worthless life that makes me feel like I oughta do something worthwhile. Of course poker and Black and White are already worthwhile pursuits, so if there’s a heaven I’m in for sure.
