I'm signing up for the Jedi Academy. I can't wait to get my force powers. I especially like the choking action that Vader has, but I'd settle for The Emperor's lightning fingers.
I ordered my new PC. It's a Dell Dimension with a 3.0Ghz P4, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, a 80GB disk, a 16x DVD, a 48x CD-RW, an ATI X800 SE for about $1200 shipped. A good deal I'd say. Should arrive in a couple of weeks. I have liked buying mid range or lower end computers the past couple of years simply because most applications don't need that much horsepower and the premium PC's just feel too expensive when prices drop so quickly.
We had an unfortunate turn of events at poker lunch. We play mostly hold'em, but there is some dealers choice when we play. Our rule is that in order to be a valid dealers choice game, it must be played in a casino. Due to the extensive World Series of Poker coverage by ESPN this year, they showed a variety of stupid games that people will play in a casino. Because it was shown in a casino on ESPN, now it is legal for a player to call for a round of the extremely stupid Indian Hold'em. "What is Indian Hold'em?" you ask. Well it's Hold'em, but you hold your hole cards on your head and you cannot see them, but all of your opponents can see them.
I have to admit the hand where three of us were all in preflop was pretty funny, I saw the other two opponents show 54o and 53o and I knew that I had to be ahead. They had the same thought though because I was holding 62o. Unfortunately my eventual two pair lost to an eventual straight. I only win about %37 of the time there.
