Well we have launched our internal only beta. I'm proud to introduce Become.com. Registration is currently limited, but will open up pretty soon. Tell me what you think of the logo and basic site right now. That of course is not what's most important, but any feedback is welcome. The important thing is how good the search results are. Lots of hours went into it. I told Tracy that it was pretty good for 6 months of work(I started in mid May), and her response was that it was really more like 8 months of work. If you want me to sign you up so you can test it out, send me an email.
We've got this insane ant problem at our house. We usually have some ants when it gets cold or wet, but with the cold(and by cold, I mean relative cold with nightly lows in the mid-low 30's) the past 3 days, we have had our worst outbreak of ants ever. It's kind of gross, but it usually passes in a few days.
With my crazy work hours, the thing that has suffered most is the amount of time I get to watch TV. It's not that great a loss of course, but I do kind of miss the laziness and relaxation of sitting on the couch with Tracy and just vegging. There are at least 5 more hours of TV per week that I would watch if I had normal working hours. Tracy usually has watched the good early shows by the time I get home, so I just get to watch a few of the later shows. I have less time for games in than I used to, but I still get a number of hours in. I've been playing quite a bit of online poker again at PartyPoker.com and I'm doing well right now. The long hours have taken their toll on my workouts as well. I probably have the time to workout, but it's just really tough to get motivated to workout at 7:30am or 9pm during the weekdays, and by the weekend all I want to do is sit on my ass.
Valve has released Half-Life Death Match, but it needs some work. I played and it's really laggy and not very well balanced I don't think. The gravity gun has too much power. Counter Strike is significantly better polished. I expect they'll make enough changes to make HL Death Match to make it playable, but right now it's not.
