Insomnia sucks
Hmm.. Can't sleep again. I'm back on my 6 hours of sleep per night schedule. Actually it's more like 2 naps of 3 hours each. There's a lot of stress at work and I tend to have a hard time sleeping when I have been working out more.
Work is going pretty well. We are nearing a final launch and our results look pretty good. One of the biggest challenges that a new search engine has is to validate the quality of its results. It's somewhat difficult to quantify how good our search results are and exactly how they could be improved. And because it's such a large system, it's often hard to identify the root cause of why a result comes to the top of a query.
I finally had a decent workout the other day. It's been about 6 months since I've run more than 5 miles, and I'm still pretty far from my best pace, but doing 6 miles at 9:15 min/mi pace made me pretty happy. Who knows, maybe I'll actually do some triathlons this year. There was a time (about 5 years ago when I was training for the one marathon I've done) when I could do that distance at around 8:00 pace, but I'm not sure I can ever do that again.

Impressive distance. I'm doing aerobics.
When that gets boring, I try to start with the jogging-running which my sister has been doing for a while.
Maybe in the spring when I seem to have more umph?
